As a student, I show my love for my country in school by standing still, putting my right hand on my chest and singing our National Anthem with all my heart as a sign of respect to the flag and also to our heroes who fought for Philippine Independence.
At home and outdoors, by living our culture of
saying "po" and "opo" and also kissing the hands of the elders because
being polite is showing your respect and most of all living the
Christian values that was bestowed unto us by the Lord like our moral obligations as Christians in attending Mass every Sunday.
And in the whole community and country, by being proud of
what we have by patronizing local products more than those foreign made
and doing all your obligations as a Filipino citizen like following the laws and respecting our officials. Of course, we all know that Filipino is our primary language that's why we should speak in Filipino at all times especially in communicating and expressing our thoughts and feelings in writing and we should not mix two languages in communicating because it's considered as a discrimination for both languages like the so-called "Tag-Lish". And simply saying "I am proud to be a Filipino!" true in thoughts, words and
most especially in deeds.
There
are many ways on showing your love for your country like offering your
life, risking your freedom and other marvelous things that you can do
but the best thing to do is just be yourself and stand for who you
really are because nothing is impossible, even doing a simple heroic act
is just the same as being a hero like Andres Bonifacio. I, myself, can be called a hero by doing my duties as a student, Filipino citizen and a Christian. Just always put in your midst that being a hero is
in your own ways, strength and abilities; you don't have to be someone you are not by pretending and let's not forget to thank the Lord for our talents as a Filipino because He gave these for us to use it for a good cause.
